The Power of Music

My wife has a guilty pleasure on Netflix, she likes to watch Korean shows.  Recently, I sat down and started watching “Tomorrow’s Cantabile” with her on Netflix (it’s leaving in March!)  I instantly fell in love with the drama and music of the show.  I wasn’t surprised to find out it was based on a Japanese manga, Nodame Cantabile. I grew up around music, playing in band since 5th grade (baritone, then tuba).  Hearing all the classical music that permeates the show really revived my interest in classical music.  It was great to play ‘Aquarium’ from Camille Saint-Saëns’ ‘Carnival of the Animals for my kids and have them rave about it sounding like “Harry Potter”, and then point out that it was written over 100 years ago.
